COMPOSER

BRUNO VALENTI

With 12 years of experience as a composer and orchestrator, Bruno Valenti is emerging as a respected young composers of music for film, TV and digital media, having worked with both established and emerging talents throughout the industry.

Valenti studied both orchestration and film scoring at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, along with advanced studies of scoring techniques and orchestral conducting at UCLA. In addition, Valenti continued studying orchestration at the Film Music Institute with veteran orchestrator Steven Scott Smalley (ROBOCOP, BATMAN, JUDGE DREDD, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, among others).

Valenti has composed outstanding music for projects that are as diverse as the mediums they were produced for: the romantic indie comedy MAC DADDY AND THE LOVERS, the canadian action/adventure web series THE PROTECTOR CHRONICLES and ONE HIT DIE.

In addition to creating music for those projects, Valenti has orchestrated/assisted on acclaimed film composer Christopher Young’s scores for the upcoming comedy TYLER PERRY’S A MADEA CHRISTMAS, and GODS BEHAVING BADLY with Christopher Walken, Sharon Stone and Alicia Silverstone.

A talented musician and composer, Valenti is adept in many different styles of film scoring - from lighthearted comedy, to emotional drama, gripping suspense, and terrifying horror. His versatility as a composer and his distinctive original approach to film music is on full display through each of his current and past projects.

His latest works include the hilarious follow-up to MAC DADDY AND THE LOVERS, MAC DADDY’S VEGAS ADVENTURE, starring veteran actor C. Thomas Howell. Along with his scores for feature film and web series, Valenti has also contributed memorable music for short films, including two recent projects that screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Among them: writer/director Michael Weinstein’s award-winning 2014 drama IF THE TREES COULD TALK, which also earned Valenti a Best Score nomination at Miami’s Widescreen Film Fest.

The second of these projects, director David Bertran’s spiritual coming of age drama COMING TO TERMS, features an original score by Valenti, recorded with the 55-piece Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Valenti’s score for COMING TO TERMS won Best Score at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.

Valenti’s music can also be heard in the upcoming sci-fi spoof SHARKASAURUS, plus the western SUGAR SKULL MAN (both directed by Spencer Estabrooks, creator of the popular web series ONE HIT DIE).

Each of these projects have given him the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s best and most talented filmmakers including Estabrooks, Weinstein, and Bertran. They have high praise for Valenti’s talent and professionalism, and especially of the exemplary working relationships they shared and enjoyed during their collaborations.
